Criminal Procedure and Child Protection Policy

Our primary objective is to ensure that your child can safely engage with our online platforms. To achieve this, all staff receive regular updates on key safeguarding and child protection policies and are provided with continuous professional development.

LF Online School adheres to the guidelines set forth by the UK Government and Italian authorities, specifically the "Keeping Children Safe in Education" document. Translations of this document are available in multiple languages.

Procedure for Handling Allegations of Abuse

1. Immediate Response: Any suspicion or disclosure of abuse must be immediately reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

2. Recording Concerns: The concerned staff member must document the details in writing as soon as possible. The record should be factual and objective.

3. Internal Review: The DSL will assess the report and determine whether it should be escalated to external authorities.

4. Engagement with Authorities: If required, the DSL will contact local authorities or MASH to seek advice and initiate further actions.

5. Support for the Child: Throughout the process, the school will provide continuous support to the affected child, ensuring their safety and well-being.

6. Confidentiality: All safeguarding matters are handled with the utmost confidentiality, and information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.

7. Follow-up: The school will follow up on all reported concerns to ensure that appropriate actions have been taken and that the child's safety is maintained.

LF Online School is unwavering in its commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, ensuring that their education and well-being remain our highest priorities.
